OFFSEASON POSING IS TOUGH.
Let's not even speak about the cardiovascular side of things (i am blowin brev) but with having additional body fat it can be tough to see yourself posing when you aren't able to see striations and veins.
The waist isn't as small so the proportions aren't as impressive.
And SPEAKING OF THE WAIST to get any form of rotation into your poses feels like an impossible task.
BUT this part is where the magic happens.
This is where you FEEL the connection instead of always relying on visuals.
This is where you push through the hard rounds because when you get leaner... it gets easier.
I wanted to be real with you here today and show some images from my rounds post workout and you can see in my face that i still push AS HARD AS POSSIBLE.
WHY?! I will always be trying to improve, to progress, I am 6 years deep into posing, 25 years deep into dancing... but i take myself through lessons as though i am a beginner. I practise with the same eagerness as my first season.
When you continually put effort IN, you will ALWAYS get results back.
DO NOT let your offseason become an OFF-season where you STOP.
Use this time, while you have that extra time, while you have the food and the energy.
Put that into your practise and i promise you the next time you step on stage it will be so worth it.
Really looking forward to logging on here WEEKLY alongside Jonn and athlete Sarah!
Make sure you join in with me and start logging your posing practise throughout your journey!
To share your favourite shots with the other Team PwH athletes, what you have enjoyed the most or found the hardest.
What events and shows you'll be attending so we can all meet up together!
Cannot wait to read every single one ~ Hannah!
Couldn’t agree more! It’s vital to be posing in your off-season. Yes it isn’t as aesthetically pleasing but it’ll make you more confident in yourself. Make posing become second nature and it’ll be apparent how confident you are on show day.
The truth in this! Investing in your posing during off-season will pay off when it comes down to show time. Everyone uses off season to build and grow, so why stop posing progress when you can utilise it as a time to build in that area too! Practice is progress, even if you can't see it😍
Thank you for sharing this with everyone Hannah. I personally found it really inspiring and honest. As I’m at the start of my posing journey and also further into a build, It gives me a taste of what to expect but also I’ll remember this post and I know it will prevent discouragement along the way too. 🙏🏼♥️ thank you x
